About him
Well it’s been a stormy couple of years … covid, divorce, moving house. Now it’s time to live, laugh and love and to embrace the “roaring fifties” (bacause the roaring forties is so last decade!)
I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes and cuisines. I like eating out with others and also just chilling with a tasty home cooked dinner.
Looking for a new location to settle - currently footloose and “fancy free” but have to admit that the north is drawing me back (used to live in Yorkshire and studied in the north east).
I enjoy a good film, a glass of wine (or a beer) and an evening curled up on the sofa with someone special enjoying the TV or Netflix.
I enjoy countryside and beach walks - missing a companion to hold hands and help over the stiles / hold gates open for. Even better when there's a good pub part way or at the end to enjoy a drink and some good food.
I'm not a gym bunny. I walk and cycle and am reasonably fit, but I don't do marathons, etc.! Happy to come and cheer you on though if that's your thing. Do have my own ski boots (in store at the moment) though!
Just as happy supporting the right woman in her endeavours as doing things together.
I'm looking to meet similarly minded people.
I have a son who will soon leave school, 2 grown-up step-daughters, and 2 step-grandchildren. If this is an issue then we're probably not right for each other!
Ultimately I’m looking to start living and not just existing. Time to take the pause button off and enjoy life.

I'd like someone who is happy in themselves, dresses well and enjoys heels and wellies! A good country or beach walk is just as fun as getting dressed up for a night out in town.
I have an eclectic taste in music and would love to find someone who enjoys an equally broad mix of music - all the way from popular jazz to opera and classical to rock (but not the heavy metal end) - I’m definitely not a headbanger!
